The Year In Progress: 8 Ways We Have Continued To Grow and Serve Our Clients In 2022

Matthew 9th September 2022 0 Comments

We have had an extraordinary start to 2022 from growing our business, giving our office a makeover, and even hosting our first networking event. We have done so much already; we really cannot wait to see what the rest of the year holds for us! We’re excited to share with you how our business has grown and how all of this impacts you and our services.

We formed Qoob group and acquired SilverDisc

January was hectic for us at Square Media as the management team formed our new parent company, Qoob group. Qoob group let us bring Square Media and our sister company Geexe together under a single entity. Along with developing the Qoob group, we also acquired SilverDisc. This new group of three companies enables us to cover the entire marketing mix, from design to SEO and digital marketing consultancy. This means that we are able to cater to a wider range of digital marketing needs, helping clients to reach their business goals in new ways.

New team dynamic

This year we rejigged our management and created many new positions that Charlotte, Alex, Perry, Nicky, Steve, and Josh stepped into. We also grew our team with new people – we said hello to Charlie, Robin, Phillip, and Andy. Along with welcoming new team members, our Digital Marketing Coordinator Apprentice, Erin, successfully passed her Level 3 Digital Marketing apprenticeship. Bringing new talent on board helps us to further increase our offering – for example, Charlie brought us his skills in automation. More growth on our team translates into growth in our capabilities and ultimately, growth for your digital marketing.

New office upgrade

In March, we upgraded our technology by purchasing a new flipboard and motion sensor camera in our boardroom. This is important to our creative team as it allows them to have interactive and creative meetings both internally and with clients.

As our team grew and our services expanded, it became more and more apparent that we needed a van. The van looks incredible – thanks to LT Print, who wrapped it for us! If you see our van (fondly known as Vince), you’ll never miss it. Our team grew, and as our services expanded.

Not only did our van have a makeover, but so did our offices! Our office started going through a refurb, creating a new breakout room for our staff. We now have a big table for board meetings and client meetings, a corner sofa for our team to chill out on lunch, a little table, a coffee table, a little table/desk, and a comfortable chair. It is an excellent space if anyone needs to take a breather.

Belated Christmas party

Due to the guidance from the government regarding the pandemic, we postponed our 2021 Christmas party until March. Our Christmas party went ahead, we celebrated promotions, our Technical Manager Paul flew over from Chile, and everyone from the Qoob group came together. We all had a wonderful time with a hog roast, and it was great to be together again in person, as these social events help build our company culture.

We attended our first expo as a group

We also attended our first expo as Qoob group. SilverDisc, Geexe, and Square Media had our roller banners and a Qoob exhibition stand and enjoyed networking with local businesses.

We are sponsoring an award at the Northamptonshire Business Awards

In April, we decided to sponsor the Customer Commitment Award with Northamptonshire Business Awards. We sponsored this award as a group, and we chose the Customer Commitment Award as we strive to always give our clients the best customer service, so this category is essential to us as it aligns with our mission.

We hosted our first networking event

Along came May, and we hosted our first ever Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce event, Business Before Hours. We enjoyed a breakfast roll and a hot drink while networking with other leaders. It was great to catch up with so many familiar and fresh faces in our offices. It was an excellent way to start the day by connecting with everyone.

Not only did we host our first networking event, but our Sales and Marketing Director also took part in other networking events. Who would not want to network with others while playing golf on a sunny afternoon?

We hosted a charity barbecue

In May, we hosted a charity barbecue to raise vital funds for local charity KidsAid. After a highly successful day, we raised £335. With great weather along came a great turnout; we served burgers, sausages, and homemade cakes! We also had a raffle for a gift voucher for the Olive restaurant in Corby. Thanks to Jamie’s Butchers for donating the burgers and sausages, LT Print for donating the leaflets and banner, and Olive for donating the gift voucher.

We also supported the Hope Center and took part in their fundraiser. We all came to work in our pyjama bottoms with a professional top as you would when you joined a Teams call from home. This marked the second anniversary of the lockdown, and we raised £140.

With that in mind, the first nine months of 2022 have been astonishing for us as a business. Thank you to all our staff members for all your hard work throughout this year so far, and to our wonderful clients. We can’t wait to see how the year pans out and we look forward to continuing to work with our clients and help them reach their business goals.
