Here are the marketing trends that we think will be hot in 2022 👇.
With the likes of TikTok, Youtube Shorts and Instagram Reels being a massive success in 2021, we expect 2022 to provide us with even more short-form video sources.
Short and sweet is the way forward!
Following on from Facebook announcing its name change to ‘Meta’ last year, we all got a sneak peek of the Metaverse and what’s to come – which left us all hungry for more.
We predict that as the year goes on, more software developers, marketers, and business owners will concentrate their efforts on the Metaverse; the new and exciting virtual reality world that will provide us with a new way to socialise, date, exercise, work, and game (and sooooooo much more).
Virtual reality and augmented reality
Sadly, COVID-19 is still affecting everyone worldwide, which means many things will remain virtual for some time.
Similarly to the Metaverse trend mentioned above, we expect to see more products and services marketed virtually using AR / VR.
Influencer marketing has been on the rise for some time now, although we have really seen the trend reach new heights in the last couple of years.
So far, influencer marketing has only been considered a ‘trend’. However, we expect that in 2022, influencer marketing will become a marketing ‘staple’ that will feature in almost EVERY marketing strategy (both b2c and b2b).
Micro influencer marketing
The rise of TikTok has brought micro-influencers out of the woodwork left, right and centre. By offering inbuilt video templates, features, and sounds, TikTok provides everything users need to produce high quality and engaging content in an instant. This has ultimately seen the rise of hundreds of thousands of micro-influencers.
As society has become less trusting of influencers in recent years, we believe that micro and more ‘niche’ influencers will become more popular in 2022.
Voice search has been on the rise for a few years now and certainly shows no signs of slowing down.
We expect to see voice search continue to majorly influence how brands create content and market themselves in 2022.
