At the current rate in which technology is growing it is no surprise that there are constantly new trends and techniques evolving in which the digital marketing world is frantically trying to keep up with.

Here we have compiled a list of some of our favourite marketing trends of 2020 so far…

1) Personalisation

2020 is the year of personalisation; well quite frankly it had to be because it is ultimately what the consumer demands.

It is often the case that the client will ignore ads that are not relevant to them within a few seconds. This is why email marketing still works so well even in this big and bold social media era. This is because they are easy to personalise to the intended target audience. Separated personalised email lists have repeatedly been shown to outshine a newsletter sent to a whole list.

2) Interactive content

The consumer of 2020 wants to be engaged into buying the product. We are constantly looking for new experiences and for the majority that means a higher level of interactivity.

Interactive content is easily and very quickly shared, and commonly when users share this content, it helps to grow your brand at a quicker rate. In the simplest possible terms, the more interactive your content is the more engagement you should expect to see.

3) Shoppable posts

A recent survey showed that 72% of Instagram users had purchased an item via the app, so it is no surprise there has been a huge rise in companies providing a link to buy the product through their posts on Instagram.

With the ever-increasing presence of influencer marketing, the likes of Instagram are only making it easier for them to advertise the products that they are promoting. And now, other social media platforms are taking suite, whether you use Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram; there are multiple ways for e-commerce stores to create shoppable posts making the whole user experience e easier for the consumer.
